Parish Pastoral Council

Meet your new parish pastoral council

Steve Foley (Chairperson)

Hello, my name is Steven Foley. I originally hail from Charleston,
South Carolina in the USA. I am married to Cathy and we have two
children Dakota and Cree who both attend SPC. My wife and I moved
to The Gap in 1999 and have fallen in love with the area. We both
believe that The Gap is a great place to raise our family as the community
has always given us a sense of belonging and closeness. I
bring to the Parish Pastoral Council thirty years experience in Procurement,
which has given me good organisational skills and a sense
of fairness. I have spent all of my adolesce and adult life involved in
the music industry, I spent five years working as a professional musician
and now work occasionally with a band call Broken English. I
have a keen interest in helping others and hope to continue this
through the Parish Pastoral Council.

Ellen Golebiowski

Hello, my name is Ellen Golebiowski and I have
been a member of The Gap community for five
years. In my spare time I enjoy watching movies,
reading fiction, and writing short stories. I am part
of the Grapevine Magazine and joined the Parish
Pastoral Council because I want to contribute to
our community, and I hope to be a positive
influence throughout my time as secretary.

Ann Eldridge

My name is Ann Eldridge and I was born in Ireland, did my
nursing training in London and met my husband in S. Africa,
where I lived for 18 years. In 1988 we emigrated here with
our 3 children. I was the 5pm Mass alter server coordinator
for a number of years. I have been a reader, Mass coordinator
and am currently a special minister of the Eucharist
which I feel is a very special and humbling experience. I
see my role as a Parish Pastoral Councillor to grow closer
to God together as a loving community.

Peter Maher

Married to Margaret with two children Michelle
& Ben. Ran a Handyman Business and,
with Margaret, an Import Business. I have
been in the Parish for 40 years and look after
the grounds and general maintenance for The
Parish Centre. I bring to the council many
years of experience within the community
and look forward to the growth of the Parish.

Lynne Stone

Hi my name is Lynne Stone and I have lived in the Gap for nearly 21 years. I am married
to Gary and we have four wonderful Children, Michael, Catherine, Christy and
Paul, and one amazing granddaughter Brianna. Through the years I have been involved
in singing in the choir, serving as a special minister and my husband and I were
blessed to be part of Antioch with the youth of the parish .I have been part of the
group Fpet who support our Timorese neighbours and visited there to witness the
wonderful work that our parish has achieved. I have received a lot of help and encouragement
from the people of this parish and hope now to help and encourage others.

Patricia Newman

My name is Patricia Newman. I am married to Denis and have five children. I retired
from the workforce in 2007 and have been involved in house construction/renovation
since that time. Nurturing family life has always been my priority and I have always
considered our relationship with God as central to our lives. I am aware of pastoral initiatives
in other parishes and I was heavily involved in Mater Dei, Marist College and All
Hallows when my children attended those schools. Living in the Ashgrove end of the
Parish I contribute as a Special Minister and Reader at the 9.30am Mass at Mater Dei
and I am also involved in the Tuesday morning meditation group. I am excited about
my active participation in meeting the challenges of the Parish Pastoral Council and engaging
with the community to develop and progress pastoral initiatives.
